Google Doodle Contest
Google is currently running a student doodle contest asking students to create doodles based on the theme “If I Could Invent One Thing to Make the World a Better Place.” One talented young artist will see his or her artwork on the Google homepage and receive a $30,000 college scholarship and a $50,000 Google for Education technology grant for his or her school. Applications can be submitted by parents, guardians, and teachers. The deadline for submissions is March 20. Here is a link to overview information about the contest.
On this page you will also see a link to the rules and entry form, as well as some suggested classroom activities you can use or adapt.
Having your students participate in this contest would be a great way of inspiring them to think about how they could make the world better while also practicing their artistic skills creating Google doodle.
