What does our library offer?
The Mira Costa High School Library serves the students, staff, and parents at Mira Costa High School. Mira Costa is the one high school in the Manhattan Beach Unified School District. It is located at 1410 Artesia Blvd., Manhattan Beach ,CA 90266
Library Hours:
7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
7:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Friday.
3:00 p.m. - 5 p.m. extended library hours are generously funded by MCHS PTSA. The library is staffed by classroom teachers and has free peer tutoring during these extended hours.
Students can visit the library on their own before school, during Snack and Lunch, and after school, as well as during unassigned periods or if sent during class with a pass. Teachers also schedule class visits to the library for research, computer use, reading, and book selection.

Materials:
The library has approximately 20,000 print books and other materials, and 135,000 ebooks for school use and pleasure reading. The library catalog is web-based and available from any web browser. The library subscribes to databases and ebooks and also works with the Los Angeles County Library for access to its databases. All electronic resources - ebooks and databases - are accessible both on campus and off campus.
Circulation Information:
Books can be checked out for two weeks and may be renewed pending no holds on the item. Magazines can be checked out for four days. Be sure to return or renew items when they are due in order to check out additional materials and to give other students access to them.
Printing
There are no student printers in the library, but students can email documents as pdf attachments to [email protected] and pick up their copies in Room 42, the photocopy room, before school, during Snack, or during lunch. Include your name and student ID # in the subject line. The charge for copies is 10 per page.
