September 10: Finding Copyright-Friendly Images Using Google Presentations
Here is a short screencast I recently created that you can use to show students how to find "copyright friendly" or Creative Commons images using the Research tool within Google Presentations. Respecting intellectual property and copyright and giving credit where credit is due are important aspects of digital citizenship we need to model and teach our students. Using Google Presentations offers us an opportunity to teach students these lessons using the Google search engine tool our students already love. Please consider sharing this screencast with your students when they are preparing presentations, or, better yet, schedule a session in the library and let me collaborate with you on instruction.
I have also embedded this screencast on the library website for student use under Research -> Images and Sounds.
