EBSCO eBooks in the Library Catalog
Back in August, I shared with you that we now have a subscription to the EBSCOhost eBook High School database, which gives us access to close to 7,000 recent books in ebook form. These have been proving very valuable for student research projects on many different topics. I have also now added records for these titles to our library catalog, so that students and teachers can find them at the same time when they search for print books. Please do a catalog search from the link on the library website at mchslibrary.org or directly at destiny.mbusd.org and explore the offerings. The titles that have an “e” icon are the ebooks. (If you like, you can also limit your search to just ebooks using the Material Type option.)
Here is a comic tutorial sheet I just created to help students know how to access the ebooks from EBSCO as well as the other two ebook vendors we are using so far. The login information you need for the EBSCO ebooks isn’t on this sheet since it is published on the website. You can get all the logins by picking up a library information sheet at the library or emailing me.
If you don’t see books or ebooks on topics you need in our catalog, let me know and I will do my best to purchase some for our collection.
